President's Message

Dear Members of the Waterfall POA:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Board members, David Hughes, Thos Muller and Chip Groome for their hard work and contributions to the community this past year. They have graciously agreed to continue working with us and to share their knowledge and experience to facilitate the transfer to the newly elected Board.

Your new board met on Wednesday at 5:30 PM to organize and elect officers.  The following members were elected to serve as officers for the 2018-2019 term of one year:

 Abe Fenster -President

Ian Lundberg -Vice President

Stephen Zepf -Treasurer

 Lisa Fletcher- Secretary

Serving as Directors during the same term are:

David DuBow-Director

Lynda Hester-Director

Leon Levitt-Director

The entire Board has made a commitment to diligently strive to be a good steward of the community resources and finances in order to make Waterfall at Lake Burton the best possible example of a luxury golf and lake community in NE Georgia.

The Directors have agreed for all workings of the POA to be transparent and all POA members will have access to the information about any and all initiatives and projects planned to maintain and improve the value of your investments

How will we accomplish this?  Starting immediately, every Board of Directors meeting will be held at a published date and time to allow every member of the POA ( property owner) to attend via the Internet or over the phone to listen in to the discussions. Instructions will be emailed at least 48 hours prior to the next board meeting.

Committees have been established to assist the board. Each director will have a responsibility as a liaison to a committee to report to the Board at the open board meetings.

To continue improving communications with our members, we need for you to update your emails and addresses; make sure you sign on to the website and complete your profile, On the upper right-hand corner, register your information if you have not already done so.

Our mission is to make Waterfall at Lake Burton the best, but we need your help. Please consider volunteering and offering your expertise to the efforts and priorities outlined by your board.

We are committed to continue and prioritize the programs initiated by the previous board and identify new issues that need to be addressed. The following is a list:

    • Budgets for 2019
    • Water & Sewer reporting
    • Landscaping and Front Entrance improvements
    • Road resurfacing
    • Reserve Study
    • Communication/Website improvements
    • TruVista interface
    • ARC guidelines
    • Security/Maintenance/Signs
    • Rules, Docs & Bylaws update

With your help we will be able to achieve our common goal to make Waterfall at Lake Burton the shining jewel it deserves to be.

On behalf of the board I want to thank you for your support.  In return, we plan to serve you with our best efforts.

Abe Fenster
